I walk,

hoping to see something

to usurp you in my mind;

hoping the endorphins

will run

to dilute the poison

in my blood.

But my ghosts cover me,

ride me,

their foggy lightness

billowing behind me

as I try to move forward,

their cobwebby hands

across my eyes;

one who is hopelessly gone,

never to return,

and another

who is still here

but hopelessly absent;

both as heavy as eachother.

So I walk,

hoping to find the words

that announce the epiphany

to finally explain you all away….
