I am stripped bare before you,
pared back to budding flesh;
All else is but dressing and pretence.
I see my strength
suddenly surrendered in weakness;
all my wisdom
turned to foolishness,
merely a guise for my innocence.
All my walls
are crumbled to ruins,
blown away on a passionate breath;
All my gentleness
lost to violent emotion;
All my words
dissolved in a rush of blood.
All assumed eloquence
perfected in a touch;
All I was
surrenders to what I will be,
to what I am with you.
